Welsh Castles Relay

	WELSH CASTLES RELAY Organised by Les Croupiers Running Club, Cardiff
	This years event: 14 - 15 June 2008

	Running the length of Wales - 200+ miles over 2 days, 20 stages and 58 teams, starting at Caernarfon Castle on Saturday morning, with an overnight halt at Newtown and finishing on Sunday afternoon at Cardiff Castle.

	According to Cadw (the historic environment service of the Welsh Assembly Government) Wales has more castles per square mile than probably any other nation on earth. How many Castles does the route pass? Well - the route passes within 2 miles of: 22 Castles, 16 Forts (Roman or otherwise), 2 Mottes & Bailey and 5 Mottes. Click HERE for the full list.
